Harnessing the power of awareness through the healing arts of yoga, massage, and mindfulness

Slow the body, deepen the breath, nourish the spirit

The experience of movement and touch are basic to discovering who we are and investigating how we move in the world. I have realized over the years that what we do is not as important as how we do. As we close our eyes and shift our attention from the movement of the outer world to the stillness of the inner world, we begin to awaken to this deep presence of silence that not only surrounds us but also is us.

When I was growing up my two favorite things to do were reading in the library and praying in church. I longed for the quiet peaceful presence that arose from stillness and silence and I remember feeling so safe and supported as if the universe not only saw me and heard me but deeply held me and recognized me.

Over the years as my body stored memories and my mind gathered beliefs I lost this sensitivity. My need to know, to be right, to control life’s experiences kept me in a contracted conditionedAmaniWorks - logo state of mind that resulted in more pain and suffering. It was this pain that led me to these practices and provided me the space to do this work. It is this work that has allowed me to breathe more fully, move more freely and express more deeply the sacredness of life that is alive in me.

Experience the gift of silence, stillness, and spaciousness

My Path: Releasing fear and remembering love

Over the last 20 years I have discovered, studied and explored yoga, massage, and mindfulness as skills, tools, and practices on my playground.  Every time I cross that bridge from the haunted-fearful self to the whole-hearted loving self, there is a complete shift in my awareness. I realize that although the past may inform me it does not have to define me. This shift allows me to release the...
